Many Health Insurance Companies will reimburse for acupuncture
treatments as an out of network benefit. Some of those companies
include: Aetna, Cigna and United Health Care. There are also numerous smaller
health insurance companies that will also reimburse for treatment as an
out of network benefit.
Health Insurance is a vital tool that allows people to access the health
care options needed to assure overall health and well being. Health
Insurance is provided not only by employers, but also as a comprehensive
part of both automobile and workers compensation insurance. The
Acupuncture Center of Ann Arbor has the experience needed to assist in
any insurance related concerns that might arise from utilizing one’s

Health
Alliance Plan (HAP) CuraNet Network
The Acupuncture Center of Ann Arbor is a direct provider for the HAP
CuraNet Network and will provide treatment to any member of a HAP
Preferred or CuraNet Group. Treatment will be provided based on the
coverages and terms specified in your group plan. The Acupuncture Center
of Ann Arbor accepts assignment of benefits and requires only the
payment of a member’s co-pay.

Participating companies and plans
Automobile Insurance
Many automobile insurance polices will cover the cost of acupuncture
treatments
that are deemed
medically necessary as a result of a motor
vehicle accident. A referral from your primary care physician stating
the number of required treatments is usually all that is required. It is
also important to verify your policy deductible and limit amount you’re
your Personal Injury Projection (PIP) coverage. Please call this office

Workers Compensation
Most Workers Compensation policies provide for acupuncture treatments.
Acupuncture treatments are often an integral of the rehabilitation
process from an injury received in the workplace. A referral from the
treating physician stating the number of required treatments is usually
